Yup, you can eat 'em.

We cleaned and gutted the pheasants on our own right after the hunt. Apparently, the women in the town we hunted in [Hosmer, SD] were real good about "the men kill 'em, we clean 'em" until a few years back when Mac [one of the men in the pictures] made some sort of joke about it. Since then, there has been some sort of strike and the men are left to do their own cleaning.

they used to wash up (dead) at this beach house I used to frequent. ugly buggers, but pretty cool that you can hold em. never knew they were friendly!

Oh no! They are all alive and very healthy. They are huge because they get fed so much.
